We were honored to welcome some special guests to FedExFamilyHouse and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital during our gala weekend! Our guests included Television host, comedian and Memphis native Chris Hardwick; Broadway performer Telly Leung and Telly's pianist, Gary. Together, they toured the hospital with the gala's Honorary Chairs, Julie and John Smith, to witness the important work happening at Le Bonheur every day.
The day featured a lunch reception with Le Bonheur's President, Dr. Trey Eubanks, and a tour of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) led by Dr. Bret Mettler, executive co-director of Le Bonheur's Heart Institute. The guests also visited the helipad where our Pedi-Flite transports take place, enjoying a stunning view of Memphis and the iconic Le Bonheur heart.
The day concluded with a tour of FedExFamilyHouse, where they met the Hathaway family, including Cayden, a Le Bonheur Heart Institute patient. Cayden showcased his musical talent by playing the piano for Telly.
We are incredibly grateful to Chris, Telly and Gary for joining us and supporting the families who consider FedExFamilyHouse and Le Bonheur their home away from home.
