Prayers for the Higgins family and members of the Memphis reggae and punk musician community. Omar Higgins went into eternity last week. Omar was part of the Chinese Connection Dub Embassy that had played every year at LUVMUD.

By seeing the Historic Clayborn Temple full today of people of all ages, races, and music styles ...it truly shows the impact a person can have on a community. Omar is a testament of loving your brother and using music as a means to bring people together. Their mantra was “Our force will only move through Jah guidance and the love and support of a community dedicated to unity.”
His brother Joseph Higgins said that “Omar talked about those churches as things that kept him centered. With all the wickedness and crazy stuff that went on the world, we all need that assurance, hope, and peace. We got that from reggae music, and the churches.”
