We're truly grateful to Louisville MSD, a partner to ABES Engineering in Louisville for some time now. Together, we've worked on meaningful projects that strengthen Louisville, providing sustainable engineering solutions to infrastructure challenges. We opened our Louisville office in March of this year, furthering our commitment to the community, to partners like MSD, and to our goal of expanding even more in the community.

In honor of International Women in Engineering Day, we want to recognize ABES Engineering team members Eliane Volk and Stephanie Malmi Dunagan for their commitment to the field of civil engineering.

Eliane heads up our Louisville office while Stephanie is based in Memphis.

A graduate of the University of Memphis, Stephanie is working toward her Professional Engineer license and hopes to sit for the exam in the fall. She joined ABES in February of 2024. "One thing I enjoy about civil engineering is knowing that I'm contributing to the betterment of critical infrastructure in the community I'm working in."

Eliane is also studying for her Professional Engineer license. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from The University of Alabama and joined our team in January of this year. "I chose civil engineering because I’ve always wanted to understand how the structures and systems around us work. Being able to contribute to the infrastructure and industries that keep communities running is something I genuinely enjoy."
