In the 1430s, Johann Gutenberg invented the first printing press. It was an upgraded version of the wine and olive presses. Gutenberg refined this monumental technique by 1448. Metal types for the alphabet's letters were cast using lead molds. The Bible, being the first book he printed, had 180 copies made in a span of just three years, which at the time was significantly greater than usual. 📜

Fast forward 589 years later… enter the 3D printer! Using a computer-generated design, 3D printing, sometimes referred to as additive manufacturing, is a technique for building three-dimensional objects layer by layer.
