Student midwives are essential to the future of accessible, high-quality maternity care. As they train alongside experienced midwives, they help expand the capacity of the profession while developing the skills needed to serve the families in their communities. Supporting student midwives is an investment in the next generation of care providers who will help meet growing demand, reduce barriers to care, and ensure that more people have access to personalized, evidence-based maternity services.

Starting August 2026, Alba Birth Center is accepting 2+ new students!

We have specially curated our Student Midwifery Program in accordance with NARM’s competency-based Portfolio Evaluation Process (PEP). Due to being a high-colume birth center, students can complete our program in as little as 2 years, depending on aptitude, availability and proficiency.
