Happy 4th everyone!

CANCELED! Due to the extreme heat, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Veterans Night tonight.

After receiving many calls from concerned attendees, and after discussions with the City and the committee, we all agreed that this is the best decision. Many of our veterans are older, and their health and safety have to come first.

The good news is that Veterans Night has been rescheduled for next Friday, July 10. We want to give our veterans the celebration they deserve and make sure everyone can enjoy the event safely.

Unfortunately, this is Ohio weather, and outdoor events can be unpredictable. We appreciate everyone's understanding and support, and we look forward to honoring our veterans next Friday.

I'm sitting at the Mentor Rocks concert last night, and here comes my daughter's science teacher wearing the shirt my daughter and I made for her entire class and teachers as part of our end-of-the-year tradition.

Now comes the best part... my daughter goes to school in Parma!

It's a small world after all. It was great seeing one of her teachers out enjoying the concert and wearing the shirt.

Good concert. Good people. Good memories.
