Nearly 160 students from across Merced County shared heartfelt essays honoring the fathers and father figures who have made a lasting impact on their lives. Students reflected on the influence of dads, stepfathers, grandparents, uncles, siblings, coaches, teachers, and other mentors who have helped shape their futures.
The winners were recognized during the All Dads Matter Celebration of Fatherhood on Saturday, June 20, hosted by the Merced County Office of Education.
The Community Foundation of Merced County congratulates all of this year's winners and applauds every student who took the time to celebrate the important role of father figures in their lives. Special thanks to CFMC Board Member Lamar Henderson Jr. and the All Dads Matter program for their continued commitment to strengthening families throughout Merced County.
