If you feed outdoor cats, especially in public places, please remember that small choices can make a big difference in keeping them safe and ensuring they can continue to be cared for long-term.

▶️ Can the food be eaten within 30 minutes?
❌ If not, leftover food may attract wildlife or other animals that could pose a danger to the cats. What begins as an act of kindness can unintentionally create new risks for them.

▶️ Is there trash left behind, such as paper plates, bowls, or empty cans?
❌ Public feeding areas that become messy often lead to complaints. Keeping the area clean and respectful helps protect feeding locations and prevents conflict with neighbors and businesses.

▶️ Is your feeding setup drawing unnecessary attention to the cats?
❌ Not everyone values community cats the way rescuers and caretakers do. Quiet, discreet feeding helps keep colonies safer from harm and unwanted attention.

🐾❤️ WE NEED MORE HUMANE TRAPS ❤️🐾
Because of this incredible community, we have been able to make a tremendous impact on the homeless cat population throughout our area. Thanks to your support, countless cats and kittens have received spay/neuter services, vaccinations, medical care, and the opportunity to live healthier lives.
But as summer arrives, kitten season is in full swing.
Every day, more kittens are being born. Without intervention, those kittens quickly become adults who continue the cycle of overpopulation. The demand for humane trapping has never been greater, and we are urgently in need of additional humane traps and transportation carriers to keep up with the growing number of cats needing help.
These traps are essential for safely transporting community cats to our veterinary partners for spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations before returning them safely to their colonies. Every trap donated directly helps prevent future litters, reduces suffering, decreases shelter overcrowding, and improves the quality of life for both animals and our community.
We know we ask a lot, but this work is only possible because compassionate people like YOU continue to stand beside us. Together, we are creating cleaner, healthier, and more humane communities for people and animals alike.

As temperatures rise, let’s keep our furry friends safe, cool, and comfortable. Make sure they always have fresh water, shade, and a cool place to rest—and remember to protect their paws from hot pavement and never leave pets in a parked car.

As temperatures rise, it's more important than ever to have a safe and organized plan when trapping community cats and kittens. Humane trapping is about more than setting a trap—it requires coordination with a veterinarian, proper supplies, transportation plans, recovery space, and protection from the summer heat.
Before trapping:

✅ Gather humane traps and supplies
✅ Plan for safe transport and recovery
✅ Monitor weather conditions
✅ Ensure cats have shade, ventilation, and frequent checks
