From working at Dollar General to earning a prestigious research internship at UC Santa Barbara, Merced College alumna Rebeka León is proving what's possible with hard work and determination.
As the first Merced College student selected for the UC Santa Barbara Quantum Foundry research internship, Rebeka will spend the summer conducting cutting-edge research before transferring to UC Merced this fall to study Chemical Engineering.
A proud MESA student and tutor, Rebeka credits the program for helping her build confidence, find community, and pursue opportunities she never imagined.
