¡Valle! Get your start in tech! has enabled undergraduate students in STEM to meet each other, build skills and confidence, and access rewarding experiences in research or graduate school.
Sessions will be Saturday, March 4th, and Sunday, March 5th, with opportunities to engage in tech, teamwork, and networking activities on the UC Merced campus. Parking is free on weekends. All food will be provided, including a special mentor dinner at Bella Luna.
This year, ¡Valle! VISTA will focus on agriculture, natural resources, and how technology can assist in addressing some of our greatest challenges in the San Joaquin Valley.
¡Valle! fosters diversity in STEM by increasing the accessibility of students in STEM to research experiences, graduate school, and careers in technology.

Applications are due Monday, February 20 at 11:59pm PST!
First and second year students, African American/Black, Hispanic/Latino/Latina, Native American/Alaskan Native, women, and LGBTQIA+ identities and people who are blind or deaf are all encouraged to apply. Applicants will be considered without regard to race, gender, or other demographics.

The Fresno-Merced Future of Food Innovation (F3) Coalition has received a $65.1 million award as part of the "Build Back Better" initiative to boost economic recovery after the pandemic.
UC Merced's CITRIS and Banatao Institute was a key research partner in the F3 coalition's effort. CITRIS addresses California’s most pressing social, economic and environmental problems by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and incorporating a convergence of student-driven initiatives, seed grants and faculty research, and corporate partnerships.
