Emergency panel swap today after a main breaker failure in a crusty old Federal Pacific panel

Too pretty not to share. Unexpected panel change on a house renovation we've been working on. After turning the main off to work in the panel the main wouldn't close.

This is a great time to mention it is important to exercise your circuit breakers at least once a year to ensure they will function properly

Happy new year. Had an eventful day today. Driver crashed into a utility pole which ripped the underground wires out of the meter into the pipe. Strung a temporary line up to house to restore power until we can get back there to make a full repair during the week. More pics to come. Remember to drive safe everyone.
