Did you know that Memorial Day was called Decoration Day- After the many lives that were lost in the Civil War?

Then along came another Conflict, World War 1–Then Decoration Day turned into Memorial Day to honor all American Military who died in all wars, such as World War II & Vietnam to name a couple.

—By 1971 the day became a Federal Holiday and always fell on the last Monday of May… Sure it gives most a three day weekend, but remember how you got that weekend.

So grateful for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our Nation.
