Love this quote! As designers we often face the question of cost vs value. Many times we are able to leverage our product knowledge and conceptual designs to collaborate with contractors and architects. We create amazing spaces (within budget) that make all the difference. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Day 4 Grit - Hang in there and continue to push until you reach success. One of my favorite stories from 'Think & Grow Rich" by Napoleon HIll was about a gold miner who worked hard, but stopped just shy of the 'motherload' and sold off his claim. The next company came in and was able to benefit from his hard work and strike it rich.
Too often, I find myself asking - is it worth it? Does all this work really pay off? As an Interior Designer I find my services are often misunderstood, most think of designers as 'pillow fluffers'.
Selling my services as an interior designer is challenging, I find I potential clients asking - are even necessary - can't the architect or the contractors' wife pick out colors?
I have to step back and remember - it's up to me to educate, guide & share my experience. Taking time to build those relationships pays me back in spades.
