A way late end of the season post but here we go…

From the season beginning early for us in January I decided it was time to move up into a new class with bigger and faster cars. With that came along the street stock with huge help from helping me get it put together through the beginning of the year we saw we weren’t going to finish before the first few months of racing. In the mean time I wanted to go racing so I looked for a “boat race” rig which was the cougar Uber, best $600 I’ve ever spent, with that we took second in our first race and we decided hey let’s go take a trip to twin to have a little more fun. I ended up winning my first main event of my racing career and I couldn’t have been more excited no matter what class it was. Not only did we decide to do it again we won two times in a row, which made me even more excited for the season. Flash forward we started competing for points for the championship at Meridian Speedway. About halfway through the season we finally finished the street stock, or so we thought. There was a large learning curve with the new car from rear gear changes to overheating to fuel delivery, even at the end of the season I am finding new things to work on and learn from the people helping me out. Now to the final weeks of the season. In the bomber class it was close we ended up getting our first win at Meridian and a few weeks later winning the championship for the bomber class. For the final weekend we raced the street stock and had a few more issues we ran into but nothing we can’t fix.

Just a quick little weekend recap. First in the bomber, We finally got our first win at Meridian speedway. It was a crazy and wild race weaving and dodging tires and other cars and couldn’t lead more then one lap and couldn’t lead the white flag. Coming to the white flag we were all stopped waiting for someone to cross. After bug 2 crossed it was a drag race also dodging tires and cars. We got the jump and pulled away from the pack getting the win.
We played double duty in the Street stock. We put some new parts on it from the last race. Had some carb troubles with fuel delivery but we will be back and strong for the next race on Saturday in twin.
