“Cortisol is the reason I can’t lose weight”
→ Cortisol can influence appetite, sleep, fat distribution, and metabolism. But for most people, weight changes are multifactorial. Sleep, nutrition, medications, activity, hormones, genetics, and energy balance all matter.

“We need to check estrogen levels in menopause”
→ Menopause is usually a clinical diagnosis. Hormone levels fluctuate significantly and a single estrogen value often doesn’t explain symptoms or guide treatment the way people expect.

“You just need discipline, not a GLP-1”
→ Obesity is not simply a willpower problem. Appetite regulation involves complex brain-gut signaling, hormones, genetics, and metabolic adaptation. Lifestyle remains foundational—but for some patients, medication can be an evidence-based medical tool, not a shortcut.

“Demonizing carbs”
→ Carbohydrates are not inherently bad. Quality, quantity, fiber, protein pairing, and individual metabolic context matter far more than labeling an entire food group as the problem.

“One supplement will balance all hormones”
→ Hormones involve feedback loops across multiple organs. There is no universal supplement that “balances hormones” for everyone. Diagnosis first. Treatment second.
