Countdown begins ! The Weather Channel will feature live coverage from here at Kennedy Space Center to Cocoa Beach to Johnson Space Center in Houston. Throughout the day Tues and Wed, with a 3 hour special beginning Wed Apr 1 at 5 pm edt.
Artemis update
A much anticipated NASA press conference this Friday am had a couple of big updates.
🚀Artemis 2, planned for 2026, is back in the VAB with repairs to be made, batteries to be changed out, and other updates as headed. Earliest possible next launch is in early April, but date TBD. Artemis 2 will take astronauts into deep space, farther than ever before, and slingshot around the moon.
🚀Artemis 3, planned for 2027, will no longer land on the moon. It will be a mission to test docking with another spacecraft in low earth orbit.
🌔Artemis 4, planned for 2028, will land astronauts on the moon.
