Did you know the proper way to irrigate a backyard is to supply the water from the front yard? This is what we did here, we installed a new Febco Back-flow preventer and ran a new high pressured mainline to the backyard where we installed a couple new valve. The new valves were then tied to the existing backyard sprinkler system. Previously the homeowner had these valves connected to a backyard hose bib which came from inside the home. These backyard hose bibs often times only have a 1/2” supply line which minimizes the pressure coming through, causing all sorts of pressure issues. Not only that but it can complete kill your plants and grass overtime if you have a soft water system for your home since the salt that filters the water goes through the home which is where those backyard hose bibs get their water from. Don’t make the mistake of having it done this way by a cheap contractor.
