Yesterday we talked about the immune system!
We’re going to talk about a few ways to boost the immune system with vitamins, nutrients, foods, and how you can improve the immune system during your next drip! 💧

There are several vitamins and minerals that can help boost the immune system by supporting the function of immune cells and helping to fight off infections.

Here are some of the most important immune boosting vitamins:

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps to protect immune cells from damage caused by harmful substances, and is involved in the production of white blood cells. Foods high in vitamin C include citrus fruits, kiwi, strawberries, bell peppers, and broccoli.

Vitamin D: Vitamin D helps to regulate the immune system by enhancing the function of immune cells, and has been shown to be effective at reducing the risk of respiratory infections. Foods that contain vitamin D include fatty fish, egg yolks, and fortified dairy products, but the best source of vitamin D is sunlight.

Zinc: Zinc is a mineral that is important for the development and function of immune cells. It also helps to reduce inflammation and can help to shorten the duration of colds and other respiratory infections. Foods high in zinc include oysters, beef, pork, chicken, beans, and nuts.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is another powerful antioxidant that helps to protect immune cells from damage, and has been shown to enhance the function of immune cells in older adults. Foods high in vitamin E include nuts, seeds, and leafy greens.

Vitamin A: Vitamin A plays a role in the development and function of immune cells, and is important for maintaining the integrity of the mucous membranes that line the respiratory and digestive tracts. Foods that contain vitamin A include sweet potatoes, carrots, spinach, and liver.

We get a lot of questions about our most popular drip, the Super Immunity Boost!
To understand why people feel so much better after they get this treatment, we’re going to explore something that is complex and overlooked!

The immune system!
It is a complex network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body against harmful substances such as viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. Its main function is to identify and destroy foreign invaders that can cause infections and diseases.

The immune system is made up of two main parts: the innate immune system and the adaptive immune system. The innate immune system is the body's first line of defense against foreign invaders and works by recognizing and attacking any substance that it deems to be a threat. This response is non-specific, meaning it does not distinguish between different types of invaders.

The adaptive immune system is a more specialized response that targets specific invaders. It works by producing antibodies, which are proteins that specifically recognize and neutralize a particular pathogen. This response is slower to develop than the innate immune system, but once it has been activated, it is more effective at targeting and eliminating the specific invader.

The immune system also has memory cells that can remember past infections and respond more quickly and effectively to future infections by the same pathogen. - This is one reason IV therapy can make a huge difference in your health! When you get the correct nutrients at the right time, the body is more effective at distributing the correct amounts not only immediately, but also in the future. The adaptive immune system produces memory cells that can recognize and attack a specific pathogen if it is encountered again in the future.

Overall, the immune system is a vital part of our body's defense mechanisms, helping to keep us healthy and protected against a wide range of pathogens and diseases.
