Proprioception is a fancy word for how your body can function in space. It’s extremely important in not only athletic performance and balance, but in nervous system regulation.
When individuals have dysautonomia: an imbalance in your nervous system - their proprioception is always diminished.
That’s why I include proprioception work post adjustment in office.
This is one great way to work on proprioception at home.
It can also help with hip health, improving balance and strength in the whole posterior chain.
This can help with athletic performance, balance, and decreased injuries.

This is one of my favorite adjustments, because it is needed in so many people.
We live in a a very high stress, fast paced, head forward society. (Shocking, I know)
This has so many symptoms in the nervous system that are felt in the musculoskeletal system.
Some of those symptoms are seen above, and the problem is too many people view it as totally normal.
Just because something is commonly seen does not make it normal.

Want to be the healthiest person in the room? Learn to build a “healthy home.”
We define a healthy as having four walls, and a roof of awareness over top.
The walls are:
Nourishment: what goes into our body, does it fuel and energize us, is it easily absorbed, and does it equip our bodies to adapt and thrive.
Movement: everyday movement that brings us joy, grows us, is goal oriented (pr, amount of steps, amount of time, etc). We were made to move, so we need to do this everyday in some way.
Recovery: more than just an ice bath or a sauna, this is focused on setting ourselves up for the best sleep possible (our body’s #1 way to recover). Routines, red light/red light glasses, magnesium, dark rooms, and the other walls are crucial here.
Community: the wall of health that is most forgotten. Your tribe. People to laugh with, cry with, grow with, encourage, and be encouraged. We are communal beings who all crave healthy community.
