Today marks the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam's Reunification. It was half a century ago that North and South Vietnam were officially reunified after decades of devastating division and conflict. July 2, 1976, marked the formal birth of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, closing a long, tumultuous chapter of wartime history.
