The Flintstones (1994) — a legendary comedy and the final film career milestone for the great Elizabeth Taylor, where she brilliantly played the sharp-tongued mother-in-law, Pearl Slaghoople ! Elizabeth Taylor’s Final Film Role The role of Wilma’s mother marked Taylor’s final appearance in a major feature film. She agreed to the role for charity, donating all the proceeds from her character’s merchandise to her AIDS foundation. Audrey Hepburn was also considered for the part, but she passed away before filming began 🤍 Instead of relying on CGI, the production built an actual city in the California desert. Tons of concrete were used to make every house look like a massive boulder. The costumes and makeup were so detailed that the actors spent hours in the styling chair to become living copies of their cartoon counterparts. 06/27/2026
