“Entheon”

There is a doorway…
Not in front of me, but within me.
It is a path back to myself and ultimately to that which is beyond my self…
To unlock the door I need only to turn the knob…
To start the journey within I need only to move across the threshold…
And when I get to the other side I find that there is a place in which I inhabit the vastness
of the universe…
A place where treasures await…
A place where I become one with it all.

This unique piece is a collaboration between myself and and was made during the class we taught at in May of 2023. We were inspired by an array of psychoactive plants and fungus. We wanted to explore the idea of how these natural plants act as vehicle that drives us deep into the habitat of our minds. I’m curious… Where does this piece take your mind?
