💙🐷 A Huge Thank You to Pembroke Pines Police Department! 🐷💙

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the officers and staff at the Pembroke Pines Police Department for stepping in to help this sweet pig in need.

Piglets are not typically found wandering along US-27 unless something has gone terribly wrong. This little guy was found near Johnson Street and US-27, not far from Mary’s Ranch, also known as Matadero Cabrera. While we cannot know exactly where he came from, what we do know is that he was found alone, limping, and suffering from a severe mass involving his ge***al area.

No animal should have to endure that.

Because of the compassion and quick action of the Pembroke Pines Police Department, he is now safe and receiving the care he desperately needs. Animal welfare truly takes a community, and we’re grateful to work alongside agencies that recognize that every life matters.

We are honored to have welcomed him into the Florida Animal Rescue Alliance family. Our veterinarian, Dr. Santiago Forteza, DVM, will be evaluating him this week so we can better understand his condition and determine the next steps in his care.
