From Conch to Coast, fair winds and following seas ⛵️

A bit about my PhD: my project used photomosaics based from structure-from-motion technology to capture what our reef sites look like at that moment in time.

Swimming in a grid patterns we take thousands of photos of the reef floor that are then stitched together. Using these photomosaics I’m able to zoom in to the species level and start measuring sizes of Benthic species, looking for disease, where they are in space and time and much more!
