Perches near the surface are super important for long finned bettas. Having such beautiful long fins to carry up and down to the surface can be exhausting.

Be it a tall plant or a perch, your betta needs a spot to rest their fins and breach from. This will prevent them from fin nipping and stress.

It’s best to have multiple spots! Mine lays in multiple of his plants and of course on his mushroom.

This is my first successful aquascape and I give all the credit to fertilizers. The only thing I’d change is thickening my substrate layer for better root grip. 🌱🐠🫧
