Dehydration is one of the biggest concerns when your kid is vomiting or having diarrhea 🤢💩
👉🏼The treatment for dehydration depends on how severe it is (mild vs severe). Mild dehydration can be treated at home, however, severe dehydration might need further medical treatment.
👇🏽Here are things you can do to help with mild dehydration:
💧Water (for kids >+1 year)
💧Oral rehydration solutions (ORS) like Pedialyte and Enfalyte

Did you know that there are some foods that might not be safe for your baby in their first year of life? ⚠️
Here are a few:
Honey🍯 -->May cause a serious type of food poisoning known as "botulism."
Salt🧂-->The maximum recommended amount of salt for babies 6-12months is 370 grams per day, which is almost at maximum 1/8 tsp per day. Higher amounts of salt could cause issues with your baby's kidneys.
Milk 🥛-->Will contain more protein and minerals that your baby needs and therefore, your baby's kidneys might not be prepare for it. Providing cow's milk in infants They all contain either too much sugar or salt for your baby and both sugar and juice are advised to be avoided for the first year of life by the AAP.

🍭Sugar comes in many forms, including: table sugar, brown sugar, corn sweetener, corn syrup, honey, high-fructose corn-syrup, malt sugar, molasses...list is long! 🍰🍭🍯
🤔And did you know that it does not matter if you are using table sugar vs brown sugar vs honey? In general all this options will have the same/similar amount of carbohydrate/sugar content 🤯😵💫
So how much sugar should I give my baby or child? 👶🏼👧🏻
The AAP recommends:
🚫AVOIDING these added sugars for children under 2 years of age
👉🏼Less than 25 grams of sugar (6 tsp or 2 Tbsp) per day for children 2-18 years of age.
