Mia is warming up to us and the other animals very well! She’s met all the other cats and has started playing out in the open!

Rescuing animals can be a dangerous and risky job but it’s a job most rescuers including myself are willing to take, Mia the kitten I rescued a couple of weeks ago ended up giving me an infection called Cat scratch fever, it’s a very rare infection caused up a bite or scratch from a cat who’s carrying the infection or bacteria in their body, after 4 days in the hospital I’m finally starting to feel back to myself again,
Although rescuing animals comes with it’s ricks I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I’ll always take those risks as they come, I learned a lot from this experience and I’ll definitely be more mindful of bites/scratches from new rescued fur babies, luckily Mia is healthy and safe now,

Last night we rescued a 6-7 week old kitten!
Somebody dumped this sweet baby next to our house in the pouring rain, she spent 3 days outside of our house cold and wet from the rain before we were finally able to catch her, we turned our spare room into a kitten room full of toys, treats and lots of hiding spaces, she’s very tiny and underweight right now but after lots of love, food and a vet visit she should be a happy, healthy little kitten,
For now we’re planing on fostering/adopting her depending on how she behaves with our 3 other cats,
She’s a very sweet little girl but she has a long road ahead of her to gain trust and let down her guard.

We aren’t sure of the gender yet but I’ll keep you updated as soon as I find out,

It’s heartbreaking how some people treat helpless little animals,
The fact that someone was able to leave this little baby out in the rain by herself is unbelievable and sickening,
We us humans need to protect those who are more vulnerable then us and help the helpless beings who are being used and abused daily,
Let’s change the way we treat animals and start treating them with the love and respect they deserve,
