Sourdough Discard Pretzel Bites Everyone Will Love! 🥨❤️

Enjoy a delightful twist on snacking with these fluffy sourdough pretzel bites that everyone will adore! Perfect for sharing or satisfying your cravings! 😋✨

Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup sourdough discard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Coarse sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions:
1. Begin by preheating your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, sourdough discard, and sugar. Stir gently until dissolved.

3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour, salt, and garlic powder to the water mixture. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to stir until a rough dough starts to form.

4. Once the dough begins to come together, pour in the olive oil and continue to knead the dough in the bowl for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.

5. Let the dough rest for 10 minutes, covered with a clean kitchen towel.

6. While the dough rests, prepare the baking soda solution by bringing 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a medium pot. Carefully stir in the baking soda (it will bubble up).

7. After the resting time, when the dough has relaxed, turn it out onto a floured surface and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope, about 6 inches long, then twist into a pretzel shape.

8. Carefully drop each pretzel bite into the boiling baking soda solution for 30 seconds, then remove using a slotted spoon and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.

9. Sprinkle coarse sea salt generously over the pretzel bites while they are still wet from the baking soda bath.

10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

11. Once baked, let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your warm sourdough pretzel bites with your favorite dip or on their own!
