Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway was born in Memphis TN. He attended the University of Memphis, 1990-93. In his junior season he averaged 22.8 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 6.4 apg, 2.4 spg, and 1.2 bpg. He was named an All-American. He also was a finalist for the Naismith College Player of the Year and the John R. Wooden Awardthat are annually given the most outstanding player in college basketball.

Hardaway was selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 1993 NBA draft(third pick overall), but was traded to the Orlando Magic. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat. Let’s Pay Homage!
