This week the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project celebrates the 2026 Wilson Scholars as they embark upon a NEW course in their educational journey.

Mentorship Matters - To be a 5000 Role Model it is understood that serving is not an option; it is a must. Service is modeled daily by our Site Directors who serve as mentors.

Today, Congresswoman Frederica Wilson, Director & CEO Hydi Webb and members of the PortMiami executive team joined the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project to welcome the newest mentors into the distinguished program.

The 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project is a dropout prevention and mentoring initiative, where students grade K-12 and college are guided to enhance their readiness into their future careers.
