First texture test of the FIAT Materfer 7230 Series passenger coach in Cuba Train Simulator.

Built in Argentina and delivered to Cuba between 1975 and 1978, this is the first-class coach from the original set that included first-class passenger coaches, cafeteria cars, and baggage vans.

Shown here in its original livery, the FIAT Materfer appears in a classic early 1980s scene at Havana Central Railway Station, alongside the MLW MX-624 in its original Cuban paint scheme during a yard movement.

More variations are on the way, including additional paint schemes and the later modified versions with updated windows.

Up on “El Elevado”—the iconic elevated approach (over 1 km long) into Havana’s Central Railway Station—our MLW MX-624 rolls out with two baggage vans, heading (most likely) toward the workshops.

Down at ground level, the DF7GC slips into Estación Central Carga with Soviet-style freight wagons, while the skyline gives you a glimpse of the Tallapiedra Thermoelectric Plant (also known as Otto Parellada), a landmark of Havana’s industrial belt that began generating power in the early 1910s.
