Every nuclear explosion leaves scars that never heal: on the land, in the air, in the water… and in the lives of millions of people.
Since 1945, more than 2,000 nuclear tests have contaminated ecosystems, displaced communities, and endangered human health and biodiversity.

The UN established this day to remind us that there is no sustainability in a world with nuclear weapons.

contaminating soil and water for decades,

destroying entire habitats,

and threatening the future of generations.

🌱 Choosing peace also means choosing to protect nature.
Climate action and environmental justice cannot move forward while we live under this silent threat.
