The Miamimixer is a collective art exhibition featuring local & international talent with a varying theme. Whether you are a seasoned pro or just launching your career, we encourage all to submit.

The next show will take place February 19 - March 5, 2015 and the theme is Singing the Blues. All art must be 12″ x 12″ or smaller with no canvas or panel depth greater than 2.5 inches (approximately 6 cm).

The exhibition will take place at DCOTA-Decorative Crafts with a reception that coincides with a Designer CEU and is free and open to the public, presented by Sherwin Williams at 1pm on Thursday February 26, 2015. The art will be in place the prior week and could remain past the reception if not sold.

The deadline for submissions is February 12, 2015. There is NO charge to apply. Please Email your images WITH Dimensions & prices to Joshua Kingston, Curator [email protected], 1-2MG MAXIMUM.

Entries that do not adhere to these guidelines may be dismissed. The commission structure for sales is 25%.

Title of Program: “Singing the Blues” Hosted By Sherwin Williams
Event Description: CEU Guest Speaker: Jenny Khol/ Guest Host Robin Lechner
Jenny Khol is the Designer Account Executive for the South Florida area of The Sherwin-Williams Company. In this role, she works with Residential Designers and Architects to best achieve their color and product specification needs. Sherwin Williams will have everyone Singing the Blues or at least singing the beauty of the many variations of blue. Jenny Khol will discuss the pigments and dyes used to create blue going back to Egyptian times. The symbolism and psychology of the color blue will also be shared and finally how this most popular color can be showcased in interior settings.
