The SM (1970–1975) was a high-performance luxury GT that mixed Citroën’s wild hydropneumatic tech with a Maserati V6 engine. It earned a reputation as a futuristic “spaceship” on wheels, built for fast, smooth long-distance driving. With its sleek aerodynamic shape, DIRAVI self-centering steering, and self-leveling suspension, the SM felt way ahead of its time.

The TP-7 is a professional-grade, ultra-portable digital tape recorder designed for field recording, interviews, and music production. Part of the “field system,” it features a signature motorized “tape reel” that provides tactile feedback for scrubbing and pausing audio, which many musicians love to play around with 🎶

The Z1’s iconic vertical sliding doors were dreamed up by a team at BMW Technik GmbH, led by Chief Designer Harm Lagaay in the mid-1980s. Instead of swinging out, the doors slide down into the chunky side sills, giving the car a totally different look.

The idea was to rethink how you get in and out, and even let you cruise around with the doors lowered for a more open, futuristic driving experience.
