First gigas clam in over a decade in marine ornamental trade. T. Gigas is protected by endangered species act and has been forbidden to collect from the wild. This is major victory and where aquaculture efforts really shined as fine folks at ORA - Oceans, Reefs & Aquariums were able to successfully culture these clams for the marine ornamental trade for hobbyists around the world to enjoy these giant clam sp in their aquariums once again!
