TROPICAL UPDATE (11 AM Tuesday): Tropical Storm Bertha has strengthened and slowed down as it continues to move along the Gulf Coast. The latest forecast cone shows a slight shift to the north, but a turn to the west-northwest is still expected through the rest of the week.

Tropical Storm Warning has been expanded to include the entire Alabama and Mississippi coastlines. This warning also expands into portions of the Louisiana coastline.

The rate at which Bertha weakens will be heavily determined by how much it interacts with land over the next several days (more land = more weakening). CBS Miami
