A look at the world of hospitality. Insights and behind the scenes look of this industry.
I drove all the way to the edge of the Everglades today… just for lunch.
Brought my dad with me and made a quick day trip down to , and it ended up being one of those experiences that you will remember.
You’re literally at the end of the road. Nothing around you but water, mangroves, and wildlife. Then right there… a full lodge and restaurant doing real hospitality in the middle of it all.
What made it even more interesting for me is that it’s operated by I recently had their CEO, Nico Foris, on the podcast, so actually seeing it in person was awesome.
It’s easy to deliver great service in a major city.
It’s a whole different level when you’re doing it out here in

If you’re going to CocoCay, this is the one upgrade I’d book every time.
We got a South Beach cabana and it completely changed the day for our whole group.
What most people don’t realize is the price can be very different depending on when you book it. We reserved ours before getting on the island and paid almost half of what they were charging day-of. Even our server mentioned how good of a deal it was.
When you split it between 6 to 8 people, it becomes a pretty easy decision. And if you already have the drink package, you’re not spending extra on food or drinks since everything is brought right to you.
The biggest difference though is how the day feels.
Instead of rushing off the ship to grab chairs, worrying about someone moving your things, and walking back and forth for food and drinks, you have your own space the entire time. The beach feels private, the service is dialed in, and you can actually relax while still exploring the island.
I’ve done CocoCay both ways. This is the version I’d choose every time.
If you’re going with a group, book it early.

Tried something new last night and it reminded me what so many gyms are missing.
Community.
At Sila Miami we did a tough kettlebell workout under a thatched roof, then moved straight into sauna and cold plunge with the whole group.
No headphones.
No phones.
Just people pushing through something hard together.
And something interesting happens when you do that. Conversations start. You meet new people. You leave feeling stronger physically and mentally.
They’ve also built out a full recovery space with things like hyperbaric chambers, red light therapy, massage, and more.
Really inspiring to see what is building here and it’s giving me a lot to think about as we continue shaping the vision for .
If you’re in Miami, you should check this place out.
I left feeling incredible and can’t wait to go back as a member.
