Well known as the Rainbow Eucalyptus, this large tree has exfoliating bark that reveals different hues as it ages, giving it the rainbow appearance. The bark peels, allowing any damage to the trunk to disappear over time and peel away.
These trees can easily reach heights of 75-100 feet here in South Florida, and even large in habitat. They are incredibly fast growing, between 6-8 feet a year.
Despite being famous for their colorful trunks, the Rainbow Eucalyptus does flower and attracts various pollinators.
