⛈ How to protect your boat for a storm

✅ Turn off the boat's electrical system and remove the battery.
✅ Remove the removable equipment (anything that is not a permanent part of the boat) to prevent breakage.
✅ Wrap protective covering around all places where the ropes come into contact with the boat to prevent scratches.
✅ Seal all windows, doors, and hatches, and be sure to shut off fuel lines to your boat.
✅ If you plan to keep your boat in the water, secure it with at least two anchors and position the bow of the boat in the direction of the prevailing winds.
✅ Cover engine room vents and plug exhaust pipes aft to prevent water from flooding your engine.
