Legacy.

“Good” or “bad”. Intentional or unintentional.

Every single person that’s been on this planet or that ever will be on this planet will leave one behind.

We are the living legacies of our ancestors. So too are we the legacy of our progeny, the future generations.

The way we live. The way we think. Our behaviors. Our decisions. How we treat others. How we make others feel. How we spend our time.

These are all the component parts that make up the legacy we will leave behind.

Now we can choose to be aware of them and begin to intentionally carve out the legacy we wish to leave our loved ones, to the best of our ability of course.

Or we can be unaware and leave behind a default legacy. Either way one will be left behind.

What’s beautiful and unique about the service we offer at Capsul is that it’s one of the rare mediums where our loved ones can speak specifically to all the component parts that have come to define their legacy, and to, at the same time, intentionally speak to the legacy they’re leaving their family.

Once our loved ones are gone, legacy is all we’re left with.

We live in such a fast paced, distraction filled world where it has become increasingly difficult to be present with and for those closest to us.

Among the many things that our service provides - an open-hearted, undivided space for your loved one to share and be seen and heard - is one of the things we’re most celebrated for.

It may not sound like a lot but it is truly a restorative space where every single one of our clients comes out of it feeling more alive and connected than they did before.

It’s a beautiful opportunity for them to reflect back on their life knowing that current and future generations can learn from them for decades to come.

Even if you’re not ready to experience our service, we encourage all of you to carve out some time this week and spend an hour with your loved one asking them questions about their life.

One of the greatest blessings and joys from the work we do is having the opportunity to learn from those who have lived a long life, those who have experienced great hardship and tremendous success.

We’ve interviewed dozens of couples who have been together 50, 60, and 70+ years.

What we’ve come to learn is that no relationship is perfect. Every relationship has its ups and downs.

But what has allowed the two individuals to remain together is a deep respect for each other, a deep commitment to each other, and constant, consistent communication about everything.

When those elements are in place, there’s no challenge that can’t be overcome.
