One of the biggest misconceptions about our shampoo is that because it contains 100% grass-fed tallow, organic botanicals, and nourishing oils, it must leave hair greasy or weighed down.
The reality is that ingredients don’t determine how a shampoo performs on their own. Formulation does.
A well-formulated shampoo needs to do two things at once:
✅ Effectively cleanse the scalp and hair
✅ Support the scalp’s natural barrier and moisture balance
Many conventional shampoos rely on harsh detergents that strip away natural oils, often leaving the scalp overcompensating by producing even more oil. On the other hand, simply adding oils to a shampoo doesn’t automatically make it nourishing if the formula isn’t balanced correctly.
That’s why we developed a formula that combines gentle cleansers with nutrient-dense ingredients like rosemary, aloe vera, raw Manuka honey, and other botanicals. The goal was to create a shampoo that cleanses thoroughly while supporting a healthy scalp environment.
