New research just confirmed what PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) advocates have known for years: this model saves lives. McKnights Home Care published an article on the recent findings from a new study led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Among its key insights were that PACE participants were significantly less likely to be hospitalized, visit an emergency room, or die within the year — compared to enrollees in non-integrated Medicare Advantage plans. On Holocaust Survivor Day, we honor the courage and perseverance of survivors and their lasting legacy. Today we recognize Joseph Gringlas, a Holocaust survivor who overcame many formidable challenges with courage and resilience. He impacted countless people with his kindness and optimism, and ability to see beauty despite witnessing the worst in humanity.

His legacy lives on with the Joseph Gringlas Center for Integrated Rehabilitative Medicine at Miami Jewish Health, South Florida’s only single-source outpatient program offering comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation services in one location, made possible through the generous support of the Seed the Dream Foundation. Miami Jewish Health is profoundly grateful for their crucial role in establishing this center in honor of Joseph Gringlas’ enduring legacy. May his memory forever be a blessing.
