Three children. One rare cancer. One small county.

We recently learned that two more children in Brevard County — in addition to Ricky — have been diagnosed with retinoblastoma, a rare and aggressive eye cancer that typically affects just 200–300 kids in the entire U.S. each year.

All three children live within 30 miles of each other.
All three were diagnosed within the same nine-month window.
All three are under the age of 8.
All three are fighting for their futures.

Statistically, a county our size should see one case every 3 to 4 years.
Instead, we’ve seen three — all unrelated, all local — in less than a year.

This is no longer just a heartbreaking coincidence.
It’s a pattern. And we believe it deserves attention.

We’re doing everything we can to get answers — for Ricky, for the other children, and for every family in our community.
