Miami Animal Rescue

Those who follow us closely already know, many of our rescue dogs spend time with the incredible students in the Veterinary Magnet Program at Felix Varela High School before heading to their forever homes.

These students don't just care for our puppies. They help socialize them, love them, teach them confidence, and help them become the amazing family dogs they grow up to be. We truly couldn't ask for better hands to help care for them.

This incredible program is led by Yleana Escobar, whose passion for animal welfare has inspired so many young people to dream of becoming veterinarians themselves.

Every year, these students also dedicate countless hours to their FFA livestock projects, where they raise cattle and lamb while learning responsibility, animal husbandry, and compassionate care.

Although they never asked us to do this, we wanted to give a little back to the students who give so much to our rescue every single day.

We've put together a small wishlist with the supplies they need most for their FFA projects. If you're in a position to help, we would be incredibly grateful. By supporting these students, you're also supporting the very people who spend their afternoons, weekends, and countless volunteer hours loving and caring for the animals at Miami Animal Rescue.

Many of these students dream of becoming the veterinarians who will one day care for our beloved pets.
