Before the Light Knew Us came from a very reflective headspace. When I began shaping the new era of In Search of Sunrise, introducing the Awakening themed mix for the opening disc, I knew the first track would be pivotal in setting the tone for everything that followed.

This piece moves gently at 122 bpm, slow and pensive, allowing the atmosphere to unfold naturally. It became the starting point for the journey - that quiet moment before sunrise when the world is still calm and full of possibility, and the day ahead hasn’t fully revealed itself yet.
