Yesterday we celebrated 55 years of County Commission For Women’s advocacy, leadership, and impact across our community 💚 Thank you to this incredible group for its vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to empowering women and girls throughout Miami-Dade County.

I also had the privilege of presenting scholarships to three outstanding young women who will be attending 🦋 Young Women’s Preparatory 🦋 in District 5. It made the moment even more special to present these scholarships alongside Patricia, a proud YWPA alumna who has gone on to accomplish incredible things as a passionate advocate for her community.

Thank you, Patricia, for leading by example thank you again to the Commission for Women for investing in the next generation of leaders 💫

Yesterday I had the opportunity to tour the fire station at PortMiami and even board one of their fire rescue boats 🚒🚤 It was fascinating to get a firsthand look at the equipment, training, and operations that help keep one of the busiest ports in the world safe.

A huge thank you to the firefighters who took the time to show us around and share more about their work. We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated professionals protecting our community every day, often under challenging and dangerous circumstances. Thank you for your service and all that you do to keep Miami-Dade safe ❤️

Public service is not always easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. Thank you for your dedication to the residents of Miami-Dade County and for the countless hours you devote to making our community stronger.

Earlier this week I had the pleasure of meeting with Consul General Nakano to discuss strengthening the relationship between Japan and Miami-Dade County, particularly through business, cultural, and grassroots partnerships.

Miami-Dade is a global community, and international relationships like these help create opportunities for economic growth, innovation, and cultural exchange. I look forward to continuing our cooperation and building even stronger ties in the years ahead 🇯🇵🤝🇺🇸
