Happy Women In Construction Week 👷🏾‍♀️

Owning a design-build firm as a woman in a male-dominated industry has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career.

This week I had the chance to attend a few Women in Construction events and be surrounded by women who are designing, building, managing projects, and creating real impact in this industry. The talent, knowledge, and resilience in those rooms was powerful.

And to the clients, collaborators, and partners who continue to support women-owned firms like mine, thank you. Your trust and belief in our work makes a real difference.

The studio originally had a much larger footprint and a completely different vibe in mind. When our client had to downsize, our designer and GC, Keo, shifted the entire direction with confidence. The new suite inspired a boutique wellness concept with a yoga forward feel built around warm light, earthy tones, soft textures, and a calmer, more intentional flow.

What could have felt limiting became an opportunity to design something more intimate and elevated. Every detail was reworked to fit the smaller footprint without losing the luxury the client wanted.
