Long before our waterfront community became the neighborhood, we know today, Bowleys Quarters was known as a premier destination for duck hunting and outdoor recreation. During the early 20th century, prominent visitors including Babe Ruth reportedly came here to enjoy the area's renowned waterfowl hunting along the shores of the Middle River and Chesapeake Bay.

It's remarkable to think that one of the greatest athletes in American history once spent time enjoying the same waterways and natural beauty that resident's treasure today. From its hunting clubs and summer cottages to today's vibrant waterfront neighborhoods, Bowleys Quarters has always been a special place where people come to enjoy the outdoors and create lasting memories.
