Started working on these calves. Halter breaking takes some time. Some are more cooperative than others. Old boy in the back is going to take some special attention and a lot of work.

So my last post was saying we had to scale back and settle down a bit. Well we are back in the game, full speed.
Since last summer, we have had a lot happen:
We've had some calves, had some goat kids and lost some goats. We lost our big buck Beast and we have brought a new buck to fill his duties. The kids did an amazing job at the Clay County Fair.

Lost my Dad as well this year, but he loved the ranch and we are going to really expand this year. So keep your eyes open for more great things to come.

Due to the "greatness" of our economy. We are going to have to scale back on our cattle and hog production.

Next Monday it appears we are taking the majority of cattle to the livestock auction. As soon as I can get butcher dates, the remaining hogs will go to butcher.

We will still be raising goats, and have a couple calves for the fair, but for now we have have to downsize.

1 red grape
1 blueberries
2 Strawberries
1 blackberry
