Glory in This was born out of a quiet realization.

I’ve spent so much of my life striving—trying to make sure I was doing the right things, the best things, the things that would give God the most glory. While those seem like good intentions, hat striving became exhausting.

Reading The Dangerous Duty of Delight helped reorient my heart. I was reminded that God didn’t create me to perform for Him, but to enjoy His presence. And that enjoying Him—right here, in ordinary and earthborn days—is what actually brings Him the most glory.

As John Piper says, “God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.”

So as I walk gently into a fresh start, my word for 2026 is satisfied.
Not hurried. Not striving.
Simply living, breathing, and enjoying His presence in all of life.
